FRANCE, METZ, Evêché, Siège vacant, AR denier anonyme, 1090-1093 (?). Style grossier. D/ T. à g., en plein champ. R/ Croix cantonnée de M-ET (liés et rétrogrades)/ TI-S, un globule au centre. Flon 200, 4; coll. Robert -; Robert & Serrure 78, 3. 1,06g Rare.

Ce monnayage anonyme a été attribué à l'épiscopat d'Adalbéron IV ou à une vacance du siège épiscopal. Pour Flon, le style est proche des émissions de l'évêque Richer à Verdun (1089-1108). De plus, 21 exemplaires ont été retrouvés dans des trouvailles en Suède datées vers 1090.
