PAYS-BAS MERIDIONAUX, Cu jeton, 1550. Antoine de Croÿ (1541-1567). D/ POVR SOVSTENIR CROY Ecu couronné et écartelé de Croy et Renty. R/ SIL ADVENOIT 1550 Monogramme d''Antoine. Dugn. 1814; RBN (1872), 351, XVII. 4,01g Rare Légèrement corrodé au revers.

Antoine de Croÿ, premier prince de Porcien, était le fils unique de Charles de Croÿ et de Françoise d'Amboise. Partisan de la Réforme, il rallia le parti de l'amiral de Coligny et mourut en 1567 sans héritier. Il avait épousé en 1560 Catherine de Clèves, la fille du duc de Nevers, laquelle se remaria en 1570 avec Henri de Guise, le chef du parti catholique.
